Charles E. Griffith, D.O., M.S.


Charles Griffith, DO, MS, is a Board-Certified Rheumatologist with special interests in Rheumatoid Arthritis, Psoriatic Arthritis, Gout and Lupus.  He graduated Magna Cum Laude with honors in Biology from Dickinson College and received a Master of Science in Molecular Biology at the University of Maryland Baltimore County.  Dr. Griffith received his medical degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his Internal Medicine Residency at Johns Hopkins University.  He completed his Rheumatology Fellowship at Duke University Medical Center where he was able to participate in several landmark clinical trials in the field of Rheumatology.

After 5 years in private practice, Dr. Griffith joined the Lebanon VA Medical Center.  In addition to providing rheumatology care to the veterans, he held the appointment of Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine/Rheumatology at Penn State College of Medicine and oversaw Penn State University’s Rheumatology fellows’ continuity clinic.  During his last 5 years at the VA, he served as the Chief of Medical sub-specialties.

Dr. Griffith served in the Pennsylvania Army National Guard as the Brigade Surgeon for the 55 MEB (Maneuver Enhancement Brigade) 28th Infantry Division and the Senior Medical Officer for the Homeland Emergency Response Force.  In 2019, he deployed oversees with the 3/278 Armored Calvary Regimen serving as the Senior Medical Officer.
