Christopher J Sneider is a general surgeon practicing in central Pennsylvania. Dr. Sneider, originally from Mississippi, completed his undergraduate degree at Millsaps College in Jackson, MS. He then attended the University of Mississippi Medical Center for medical school. After an internship in surgery there, he trained at Christiana Care in Newark Delaware in General Surgery. There he met his wife, Dr. Mary Catharine Sneider, who is an urgent care physician.

Dr. Sneider is certified by the American Board of Surgery and has a busy practice, Carlisle Surgical Institute, in Carlisle, PA. His practice includes all facets of general surgery, including open and laparoscopic surgery. His special interest includes hernia surgery, thyroid and parathyroid surgery, and breast surgery. Dr. Sneider is the chairman of the department of surgery at UPMC Pinnacle Carlisle.

Outside of the surgery world, Dr. Sneider is an avid cyclist, turkey hunter, and father of two daughters.
