Dr. Balog is a graduate of Muhlenberg College and Penn State College of Medicine. He completed an internship and residency in orthopedic surgery at Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center before joining OIP, where he has worked as an orthopedic surgeon for 25 years.

Dr. Balog is certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, Pennsylvania Orthopedic Society, Dauphin County Medical Society, Pennsylvania Medical Society and National Ski Patrol.

Dr. Balog resides in Hummelstown with his wife, Kim. They have two children, Sarah and Alex.
